Your Day

Martyn will start the day with an introduction about his career. He'll speak about his work on editorial images that was taken up by agencies for below the line advertising brochures. There will be a short show of images from assignments and Martyn will talk about the discipline of working within restricted budgets in the market sector. Martyn will describe the techniques developed to meet needs of creative art directors looking for imaginative viewpoints and motion within the still automotive image.

Martyn will then do a techniques demonstration with a Triumph Motorcycle, covering various methods of panning photography, high speed/low speed/ choice of lens, dynamic or abstract. He will also cover methods of in car photography, photographing a driver while they drive.

The afternoon will begin with a description of basic tracking and rig photography. Martyn will show examples of the equipment and images produced and he will then rig a car describing what image he is aiming to produce.

There will then be the opportunity to shoot a simple rig image and view the results. The day will conclude with an assessment of the current market and Martyn will then answer general questions on any aspect of the days activities.
