The debate is taking place today (29th) in the House of Lords.  BIPP is working with the BPC and BCC to lobby Lord Stevenson, pointing out the illegality of the government’s proposed draft legislation.

The note now available on the BCC's website which summarises our position on the remaining two exceptions SIs, particularly that on private copying, can be found here http://www.britishcopyright.org/page/548/bcc-vires-concerns-reflected-in-jcsi-report-on-private-copying-regulations/. If you are lobbying in advance of today’s debate in the House of Lords we would be grateful if you could ask peers to note the BCC's concerns along with your own.
