Following our last post for the BIPP blog, we thought we’d update you with the latest show news. The Photography Show is now under a week away, which is slightly daunting but also very exciting! Join us at the NEC Birmingham 19-22 March and be part of the largest and most exciting gathering of photographers and photography specialists in the UK.
Dedicated to everything photography, you will be able to get the best deals on the market and browse the latest kit from over 200 leading brands, including Nikon, Hasselblad, Canon, Ricoh, Leica, Calumet, Adobe, Global Distribution, Serif, Mac Group, CameraWorld, Loxley Colour, Blackmagic and London Camera Exchange.
Since our previous post, two more programmes have been released; the Mobile & Social Stage and the Video Theatre. Sessions on the Mobile & Social Stage will help you get the most out of your smart phone as a professional photographer. Learn how to maximise the marketing opportunities that come with social media and hear from industry professionals who’ve captured some of their best shots on a mobile. Visit the Video Theatre for expert advice on a number of topics such as how to make the transition from still to moving images on a professional level, augmented photography, filmmaking with drones and many more.
The much-anticipated Canon Programme has also been announced. You will be able to visit Canon on Stand D141/E131 for interactive demonstrations and to have all your questions answered by their in-house experts. They’ll be showcasing the recently announced EOS 1D-X Mark II, EOS 80D and the PowerShot G7 X Mark II. The Canon Stage will feature technical workshops and inspirational talks from professional photographers including Canon Explorers.
New this year, why not submit one of your favourite images to the People’s Gallery and have your work on display at the show. The gallery will change daily, with a seasonal theme. Visitors will see Spring on Saturday, Summer on Sunday, Autumn on Monday and Winter on Tuesday.
Finally, don’t forget to book your place on the Pro Conference for sessions covering a variety of crucial topics in depth from copyright to commission, agents and insurance, to help grow your photography business.
