BenSoc is the BIPP's Benevolent Society which assists people in need. Help is given by means of single grants or loans in case of emergency or long-term hardship, but BenSoc is also there to help, give encouragement and offer friendship. It is run by a dedicated team of volunteers and relies on donations fundraising and bequests.
All BIPP members are automatically considered to receive its benefits and BenSoc relies on financial support from BIPP members. Continuing generosity is needed to support an ever growing need. Money is raised by annual donations, fund raising at regional events and through bankers' orders and legacies.
The 200 Club
BenSoc also runs The 200 Club where, for an annual donation of £20.00, members can win cash prizes. Each month members can win a cash prize of £50 with an additional annual prize of £250 available to the lucky winner.
