South West Regional Awards 2013
Call For Entries: Monday 3 June
Closing Date: Friday 26 July
The call for entries for this year’s South West Regional Awards begins on Monday 3 June.
The awards are open to all current BIPP members in the South West region, and provide an excellent opportunity for you to benchmark your work, see what your fellow professionals in the region are producing, and potentially get some great publicity.
Entry is by 10x8 print (+ a hi-res digital file on CD or by Dropbox) and costs £5+VAT (£6) per print.
The closing date for entries is Friday 26 July and the Awards Presentation will be held in mid-September.

Richard specialises in Wedding & Portrait photography, and will be pleased to explain his studio set-up and chat informally about his working methods. This will also be a great opportunity to socialise with members in the area.

Join Rebecca Northway ABIPP – recently awarded the Highly Commended Peter Grugeon Award for the Best Associateship 2012 – at her Gloucestershire based studio on Monday 15 July from 6.30pm.
Rebecca will be pleased to welcome you to her studio for a social evening, including a talk on the pros of selling prints rather than digital files, and of viewing work with the photographer instead of online.
Rebecca says "Selling framed prints rather than digital files has increased my sales average by over ten times, and has reduced my workflow dramatically. It has also taken away the worry of not knowing how my images have been reproduced and presented, thus eliminating yet another one of those worries you have as a photographer and business person. The technique I am using is incredibly simple, and maybe something that can be adapted to work for you too, or you can take elements and adapt to what works for you. I will give a short talk on how this is working for my business, and then happy to answer any questions in regard to this. This will also be a great opportunity to socialise with other members in the region.”
