Affiliate Membership

Entry Criteria: you must be earning income from photography.
Cost: £150
Restrictions: you can't advertise yourself as a BIPP member or use the logo.
Benefits: qualifications mentoring; members' rates on training and events; preferential deals; magazines; meetings; support and networking; competitions.
How to Join: complete the application form and return it with a CD of 20 images, copies of your professional insurance and payment. If accepted your membership is for a maximum of 12 months, during which time you should submit for your professional qualification.


Qualified Membership

Entry Criteria: successful submission of a body of work and supporting evidence, along with a qualifications submission form.
Cost: £50 submission fee plus £150 membership per annum.
Restrictions: none - you're able to use the BIPP logo and take part in all relevant corporate advertising.
Benefits: portfolio page with images; contact information; web & e-mail links on bipp.com; use of the BIPP logo, entry into the qualified categories of the National Photographic Awards; qualifications mentoring; members' rates on training and events; preferential deals; magazines; meetings; support and networking.
How to Join: progress from Affiliate Membership or submit by Direct Entry. Book an assessment date, complete this form and follow the guidelines on the qualifications submission form (downloadable from bipp.com).
 


Reinstatement of Membership

Entry Criteria: you must have held qualified membership within the last 5 years.
Cost: £50 submission fee plus £150 membership per annum if accepted.
Restrictions: a full panel submission may be required.
Benefits: as 'Qualified Membership'.
How to Join: submit a CD of 20 current images along with this form and payment for the administration fee and membership subscription.


Student Membership

Entry Criteria: you must be on a UK photographic course of NVQ level 3 or above.
Cost: £50 per year for the lenghth of your course.
Restrictions: you can't advertise yourself as a BIPP member or use the logo.
Benefits: discounts on training; preferential deals; magazines; meetings; support and networking; competitions.
How to Join: complete this form and return it with your payment.


Specialist Routes

BIPP works closely with the Defence School of Photography, the National Police Improvements Agency, several universities in the UK and many other agencies to support photographers training n these areas.
