The Judging Process
Each category is assessed in turn. Images within that category are awarded a percentage. The marks are shown below.

All placed images by qualified members (UK & Overseas) will be considered for the BIPP Photographer of the Year Award.
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Saturday 27 November 2010.

Rules of Entry
- All entries must be 10X8 unmounted prints.
- No identifying marks should appear on the front of the print.
- All images must have a completed BIPP entry form on the reverse.
- Any incorrectly labelled image will be disqualified, as will images which exceed the maximum entry requirement or are deemed to have been placed in the wrong category.
- Images must have been taken within 24 months of the entry date of the competition (1 May 2010).
- It is the photographer's responsibility to ensure all appropriate criteria are met.
- BIPP reserves the right to disqualify any image that fails to meet the criteria or, in its opinion, may breach or contravene legal guidelines on public decency or may otherwise bring the photographer or the BIPP into disrepute. Any costs incurred by the BIPP in such a situation will be reimbursed by the Photographer.
- An image cannot be entered into more than one category. Students and Affiliates may only enter images in their one respective category.
- All images must have been taken by the BIPP member named on the identification label and they must be in current membership during the entry period, through to and including the presentations.
- Images that have already been entered into any other National competition cannot be submitted (including those of other associations).
- Entry of winning images from BIPP Regional Competitions is encouraged.
- All images must be commissioned work.
- Images produced on workshops/training courses cannot be submitted.
- Images submitted in the Wedding category must have been taken at an actual wedding and not staged or recreated after the event. The entrant must have been the official photographer at the wedding.
- By entering the Awards, you acknowledge that permission has been obtained for that to be published and exhibited by the BIPP and any necessary copyright or release has been contained.
- The BIPP reserves the right to use any image submitted for publicity purposes.
- Information correct at time of publication - the BIPP reserves the right to change any of the above without prior notice.
- The BIPP will take all reasonable care in handling entries, but can accept no responsibility for loss or damage, however caused.
- The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
