Gareth was interested in photography early on and joined the Photographic Society of Ireland when he was 15 years old. He went on to graduate from the Dun-Laoghaire Institute of Art/Design & Technology with a Diploma in Commercial Photography. Gareth then set up his own Architectural Photography practice in 2003 after assisting numerous photographers.

"My advice to anyone starting out in photography is always have a specialisation and don't try to be good at everything. If you are starting your own business, always have a year's salary to back you up. The most important thing to remember is that if you don't have a customer, you don't have a business."

Gareth believes that being a member of the BIPP gives him credibility within the profession.

"The BIPP keeps me informed of best industry practices and my qualifications help keep me at the peak of my career".
