Federation of European Professional Photographers - FEPThe FEP is a federation of European National Professional Photographers' associations which is recognised by the European Institutions and is officially registered in Belgium. The FEP also works closely with the WCPP (World Council of Professional Photographers). It is a non-profit organisation promoting professional photography directly or through its member associations. The FEP is composed of the national professional associations of the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Serbia & Montenegro, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The BIPP belongs to the FEP and this gives BIPP members the opportunity to work towards the prestigious QEP qualification. In May 2007, Ian Cartwright became the first UK photographer to gain a Master QEP qualification. Ian chose a mix of commissioned, personal and stock images for his panel, presented in monochrome. "The MQEP looked like an opportunity to raise the bar, missing out a couple of heights on the way, but risking complete failure... Most of us needs some sort of applause to encourage us to do what we do. This could be winning competitions, gaining qualifications or just making lots of money. I wish I could pull off the last trick." Ian Cartwright FBIPP MQEP. Visit Ian's web site at www.caramelphoto.com For more information, visit www.fepqep.org
