Success at Licentiate Panel

The first Licentiate panel held under the sole banner of the BIPP took place on 12 May. The day went exceptionally well and the judges were delighted with the near 82% success rate.

Special thanks go to Michi who made the journey from Japan to attend the assessment.

QEP Successes

The recent FEP meeting, which took place in the UK for the very first time, was a triumph! Nearly 30 judges and observers came from across Europe and as far away as Russia. The BIPP members who achieved Qualifed European status are: Louise Hodgett ABIPP QEP; Ciaran O'Neill FBIPP QEP, Chris Astbury ABIPP QEP, Jonathan Beer ABIPP QEP, Paul Callaghan FBIPP QEP, Rebecca Callaghan ABIPP QEP, Jackie King ABIPP QEP and Bella West FBIPP QEP. Congratulations to them all and a special thank you to Jim and Sue Lowe, Tony Freeman, Llewellyn Robins and the staff at BIPP head office who made the event such a success.

Photo Training Overseas

The dates have been set for 2009. It's 27 January - 3 February in Egypt. Organised by George & Glenys Dawber, PTO is well established as a key event in the photographic year. Daily master-classes, evening seminars, gala awards, a print competition and a trade show are all included. The British Professional Photography Awards - BPPA

The British Professional Photography Awards are a showcase of the best professional photography in the UK and overseas. Held annually, the awards are a joint venture between the BIPP and the MPA, giving members the opportunity to push the boundaries of creativity. Many members see the awards as a yardstick for measuring the quality of their work and winners find the resulting publicity extremely useful for their businesses. Everyone always enjoys the action packed Awards' weekend including the prestigious Awards' ceremony dinner, daytime seminars with key speakers and trade partners.
