Tips for choosing a photographer
 Jo De Banzie ABIPP
There are several elements to consider when looking for a photographer:
- Is the photographer professionally qualified?
- What style of photographs are you looking for?
- Do you like the photographer's portfolio?
- Do you like the photographer?
Benefits of using a BIPP qualified photographer
BIPP qualifications are highly regarded and are recognised across the world as a benchmark of excellence. There are three levels of qualifications, each reflecting increasing levels of experience, skill and achievement, starting with LBIPP, then ABIPP and finishing with FBIPP. Members of the BIPP are bound by the code of conduct outlined below:
- A member shall present themselves, their work, their services and their premises in such a manner as will uphold and dignify their professional status and the reputation of the Institute
- A member shall exercise all reasonable skill, care and diligence in the discharge of their duties, and, in so far as any of their duties are discretionary, shall act fairly and in good faith
- Any confidential information acquired by a member in the course of their professional duties shall not be divulged to any third party
- No member may corruptly offer or accept any gift or inducement
- A member may only use the Institute designatory letters to which they are entitled in conjunction with their own name; and they shall not use any other designatory letters or other description to which they are not entitled
- A member shall at all times and in all respects conduct their professional and business operations within the law, both criminal and civil
- A member knowingly condoning a breach of this Code shall be responsible as if they themselves had committed such breach
- A member shall co-operate fully with any investigations into an alleged breach of this Code
