Three Photographers Achieve BIPP Licentiateship Through Latest Digital Qualifications Assessment
The British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) is delighted to congratulate Anastasiia Terentieva, Tom Birtchnell and Tina Wing on successfully achieving their Licentiateship (LBIPP) following the Institute’s latest Digital Qualifications assessment.
For more than 120 years, the BIPP Qualifications have represented one of the highest standards of professional photographic accreditation in the UK. Achieving a Licentiateship demonstrates that a photographer has consistently met the Institute’s rigorous standards of technical ability, creativity, presentation and professional competence through the submission of a carefully curated body of work.
Unlike photographic competitions, where individual images are judged in isolation, the Qualifications process assesses an entire panel of twenty photographs. Applicants must demonstrate consistency of vision, technical excellence and a clear understanding of their chosen genre while presenting a cohesive collection that reflects their professional practice.

LBIPP Fine Art Portraiture: Anastasiia Terentieva
Anastasiia’s panel, The Many Faces of Womanhood, explored the richness and complexity of female identity through symbolic fine art portraiture.
Blending natural landscapes with carefully constructed environments, her collection celebrates themes including strength, vulnerability, creativity, resilience and transformation. Through considered composition, thoughtful use of colour and expressive visual storytelling, Anastasiia created a distinctive body of work that reflects both technical excellence and artistic vision.

LBIPP Corporate: Tom Birtchnell
Tom’s successful panel celebrated authentic corporate portraiture, demonstrating his belief that, even in an age of AI-generated imagery, there remains an important place for genuine, handcrafted portrait photography.
Working predominantly on location using lightweight portable lighting, Tom creates portraits that reveal the personality and humanity of his subjects while reflecting the character of the organisations they represent. By building trust and rapport with the people he photographs, his work captures natural, engaging portraits that help businesses communicate their brand and connect with clients.

LBIPP Food: Tina Wing
Tina’s Licentiateship panel showcased more than a decade of dedication to food photography, combining personal creative projects with commissioned work for restaurants, food wholesalers and food manufacturers.
Inspired by attending the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year exhibition, Tina has developed a distinctive style centred around photographing real food using natural light. Her work focuses on presenting food honestly and authentically, celebrating colour, texture and atmosphere while remaining true to the dishes as they are served.
