Hosted by the world’s oldest professional photographic organisation, our annual Print Masters competition offers professional photographers around the world an opportunity to achieve lasting recognition.

With over 120 years of heritage, the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) has long stood as a benchmark of excellence and integrity in the photographic world. To be recognised by such a storied institution isn’t just about prestige; it’s about placing your work within a lineage of artists who have shaped the industry.
This competition invites those who care deeply about the craft of photography. Those who value the tangible power of print. Those who want their work judged not by algorithms, but by peers who understand the skill, intention and artistry behind every frame.

How to Enter
Submit your digital images online below. All images must have been captured on or after 1 January 2024.
If you’re among the top entries in your category, you’ll be invited to send high-quality prints for round two of judging.
Finalists will be judged both within their category and for the overall title: International Print Master 2026/27.

31st August – Entries close.
1st – 15th September – Digital Judging.
15-17th September – Print Finalists Announced (request for raw/original files and request for prints).
28th September – deadline for finalists to upload original files.
Friday 28th October – Deadline for Print Arrivals.
Late October – Prints prepared for judging.
Late October/ early November – in-person Print Judging.
26th November – Awards Night.

The Team
Su Kaye FBIPP
Competition Chair
Su started her professional photographic career in 1995 and was awarded her Fellowship two years later. She opened her own studio in Hertfordshire in 2001 photographing families and for the last 10 years has been working largely with dogs and families.
Su has won many awards including International Photographer of the Year (BIPP) as well as Pet Photographer of the Year, Wedding Photographer of the Year and International Dog Photographer of the Year (Dog Photography Awards). She has previously chaired judging and qualifications on numerous occasions for the BIPP, MPA as well as judging for PPA and the Kodak Gold Circle.

Barrie Spence FBIPP MQEP FSWPP ARPS
Competition Director
Barrie is a portrait and fine art photographer, operating from a small studio in central Scotland.
Relatively new to competition, he has achieved eight top-ten places with FEP since 2023, and in his first year entering the monthly competition with the Society of Photographers (2024) was a Photographer of the Year finalist in three categories, winning one.
He is involved in assessing qualifications for The BIPP and FEP, judged the Print Masters 2024, and national professional competitions in Sweden, Finland, Ireland, Austria and Switzerland.
He’s qualified with The BIPP (FBIPP), FEP (MQEP), The Society of Photographers (FSWPP) and The Royal Photographic Society (ARPS).
He is a director of The BIPP (with responsibility for Awards and qualifications) and also the President of The Federation of European Professional Photographers (FEP).

Jørgen Brandt FBIPP MQEP 🇩🇰
Competition Chair (Round 1)
For Jorgen, photography is more than a profession; it is a way of life where the boundaries between work, hobby, and daily existence are fluid or non-existent. Guided by the essential interplay of light and form, he creates imagery where these elements do more than exist – they actively support and define the frame.
In his personal work, Jørgen increasingly explores the realm of the abstract. This approach pushes the boundaries of representation, allowing subjects to become “more” and often “other” than their original forms.
Beyond the lens, Jørgen is a globally recognized educator and authority in the field. He has served as a mentor and judge for photographers across the UK, Europe, Australia, China, and Scandinavia. Their expertise is sought after internationally, having lectured on the craft in diverse locations ranging from the Faroe Islands and Latvia to Japan and France.

Judge
With over a decade of experience in the wedding industry, Fiona has built a successful photography brand serving clients across London and the South East. She holds a Fellowship in Photography, one of the highest distinctions awarded within the profession, and her work has received multiple industry awards.
Through The Wedding Photography Mentor, Fiona helps photographers develop stronger creative identities, refine their client experience and build sustainable, profitable wedding photography businesses. Her mentoring focuses not only on photographic craft, but also on the mindset, positioning and business strategies needed to succeed in a competitive market.
She is passionate about supporting photographers to raise their standards and build meaningful, long-term careers in the industry.
Stefanie Blochwitz MQEP FBIPP FISWPP 🇨🇭

Stefanie Blochwitz is an internationally multi-award-winning wedding photographer with 16 years of experience capturing love stories in Switzerland and around the globe. Known for her elegant, authentic, and storytelling approach, she blends artistic vision with a keen eye for genuine emotion, creating timeless memories for her couples.
Beyond her own photography, Stefanie is deeply passionate about empowering others in the industry. Through her “Next Level Photography” platform and her dedicated mentoring program, she shares her extensive knowledge to help fellow creatives grow and refine their craft. She is also thrilled to bring her artistic eye to the international stage as a judge for competitions like the Braut Foto Award. In this exciting role, she looks forward to discovering fresh perspectives, supporting emerging talent, and celebrating the evolving magic of wedding photography.
Johnson Wee FBIPP 🇲🇾
Judge
Johnson Wee, Asia’s most awarded wedding photographer, hails from a photography lineage. He holds the titles of Double Master from WPPI and Fellow from BIPP & MPA, UK. Johnson is a Canon and Profoto Ambassador in Malaysia, and his lens captures pre-wedding beauty in exotic global locations.
Sean Conboy FBIPP FSICIP FRPS
Judge
Sean has had a passion for images since the age of 11 and started his career in professional photography 30 years ago. Known for his use of space and light, the British architectural photographer Sean Conboy is best known for creating majestic images of large scale interiors, as well as drawing the viewer into more intimate spaces with perfectly crafted composition and lighting.
Sean shoots Architecture and interiors for many national and international clients around the world. A photographer who very much learnt his craft in the era of large format film and cameras.
Sean regularly speaks and gives workshops for companies like Hasselblad, Linhof and Broncolor and is involved in judging for the Hasselblad masters and many photographic organisations.

Paul Wilkinson Hon FBIPP FSWPP
Judge
Paul Wilkinson is a multi-award-winning portrait photographer, educator, author, and host of the hugely popular Mastering Portrait Photography podcast. Based just outside Oxford, Paul runs a boutique studio where he captures everything from families and entrepreneurs to celebrities and the occasional muddy dog. He is the Partner Photographer to the prestigious Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, renowned for his characterful, instinctive portrait style.
With a deep passion for teaching, Paul helps photographers sharpen their craft through workshops, mentoring, and online education. His podcast has been recognised by FeedSpot as one of the Top 100 Photography Podcasts worldwide, a Top 10 in Portrait Photography, and one of the Top 35 UK Photography Podcasts on the web.
Paul is an Honorary Fellow of the British Institute of Professional Photography (Hon FBIPP), a Fellow of both the BIPP and the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (FSWPP), and an international judge for The BIPP, The Societies of Photographers and the Federation of European Photography Awards.
Across his career, Paul has won numerous accolades including Best Solo Portrait in the 2024 PMI-Gear Global Portrait Competition, MPA UK Portrait Photographer of the Year, and a long list of national and regional awards spanning classical, fashion, lifestyle, commercial, and children’s portraiture.

Paul still holds on to his Kodak Disc 6000 8mm camera from his childhood, when his father had a dark room in the attic of his home on the south coast of England. Having “gone corporate” for many of his early years, today he produces iconic landscapes and cityscape photography for some of the world’s best known brands – from international hotel chains and airlines to imaging clients such as National Geographic and IMAX. As one of Phase One’s global ambassadors and teachers, he’s travelled for most of his photographic career, shooting ultra high-resolution medium-format images from some of the most stunning places around the world.

Sanjay Jogia FBIPP FSWPP

Sanjay is a Canon Emeritus Ambassador, as well as a Global Brand Ambassador for Calibrite (X-Rite), Fundy Software, Tether Tools, Canson Infinity, Eizo Global, Light & Motion, Dreambooks Pro and Aftershoot.
Sanjay travels the world as a Photographer, Educator, Mentor, Judge and Brand Ambassador. He has won over 100 Print Competition Awards and is now privileged to be invited regularly as a Judge & Chair for the largest photography competitions in the world with First Places at both WPPI and SWPP. He has a Fellowship with the BIPP and SWPP, an ICON Master and is also an Associate of The British Photography Awards and was honoured with a Grand Master Award at the Societies of Photographers in 2024.
Sanjay has also represented Team GB in the World Photographic Cup for the past 4 years with a number of his images as ‘finalist’.

David Macdonald FBIPP
Judge
David has been a professional photographer for forty seven years and has run his own photography business for forty three.
He achieved his Fellowship with the BIPP in wedding photography in 1998.
Before their demise, David was a member of the Kodak Gold Circle and amongst his many awards and accolades, was a past Kodak UK Portrait Photographer of the Year.
In what David calls a blessed career, he has been commissioned to work all over the world, shooting multiple weddings in the Caribbean, as well as Australia and Cyprus. He has also been commissioned for portrait sessions in Hawaii, Columbia, Puerto Rico, Moscow, Chicago and Paris.
His enviable client list includes Premier League footballers, pop stars, actors, actresses and CEOs of Financial Institutions.
For many years David has judged awards and qualifications for various bodies in the industry, as well as mentoring photographers for qualifications and doing consultancy work helping photographers with their businesses.
He lives with his wife of thirty nine years, along with their seventy-odd animals in Hertfordshire.

Trevor Yerbury FRPS
Judge
Trevor E R Yerbury is a 4th generation photographer currently based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
He has received many accolades during his career including Fellowships of 3 major photographic bodies and in 2014 received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the industry and was also invited to become a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, a rare honour.
He is now the Chair of the Applied & Portraiture genre for the RPS.
A portrait photographer, he specialises in Fine Art Nudes, and has, along with his late wife and business partner Faye, had exhibitions of work in Edinburgh, London, Paris, Vancouver, Madrid, Valetta & Copenhagen, as well as having work featured in many magazines and books.
Trevor is passionate that his work is simple and elegant with a classic, sophisticated look.
Trevor is a highly respected international chairman, and judges globally.

Cecilie Hatløy MQEP 🇳🇴
Judge
Cecilie Hatløy is a Norwegian photographer, visual storyteller and project manager based in Ulsteinvik, with over 16 years’ experience in professional and documentary photography. She is co-founder of Møre Media and holds Master Qualified European Photographer (MQEP) status from the Federation of European Professional Photographers – the first Norwegian photographer to achieve this, the federation’s highest qualification.
Cecilie’s award history includes national category wins in Portrait, Commercial, Wedding and Nature photography at the Norwegian National Photography Championships, multiple Top 10 placings in the FEP Awards, and several selections to represent Norway at the World Photographic Cup, where she has also served as national team captain. Her personal documentary projects, including Don’t Fit In / I AM TUVA and Øyfolket, explore identity, diversity and human experience, and have been exhibited internationally.
She brings extensive international jury experience, judging regularly for FEP’s Qualification Programs, FEP Awards, the FEP Young Photographer Awards, and the World Photographic Cup, alongside national competitions across Norway, Finland, Belgium and Sweden.

Friedrich Jansenberger QEP 🇦🇹

Friedrich Jansenberger is a Vienna and Mattersburg-based photographer with over 30 years of experience in commercial and conceptual image-making. A trained Meisterfotograf (Master Photographer) through the classical Austrian apprenticeship and master examination system, he holds Qualified European Photographer (QEP) and Qualified Austrian Photographer status, and works to ISO/IEC 17024 certified professional standards.
His studio practice spans product and e-commerce photography, food and beverage, advertising and still life, architecture and interiors, industrial and corporate reportage, and business portraiture – work he describes as approaching each brief with “a calm eye for the essential,” aiming for images that are authentic, reduced, and carefully considered rather than merely decorative.
Friedrich Jansenberger’s award record includes Photographer of the Year 2018 (Fashion category), multiple Gold and Silver honours at the Professional Photographers Award 2021, a Commercial MERIT at the European Professional Photographer of the Year 2016, an Honorable Mention at PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris 2016, Gold at the Agfa European Portrait Award, and several ADEBAR awards. He has served as a judge on the FEP Awards panel in 2024, 2025 and now 2026.
