Our Aims
Where we're going and how we'll get there:The BIPP Board works with the head office team and CEO to set the strategy of the Institute, securing the future of the organisation in the best interests of the membership.
Since 1901, the BIPP has been the core Institute exclusively for professional photographers and those in the wider photographic industry. As technology evolves, the industry alters and augments over time. In the last 20 years, the pace of this change has increased exponentially and it will only continue to do so.
Representing the photographic industry as a professional voice, the BIPP has a number of core aims.
These include the following:
Represent our members
To consumers and commercial clients, technology brands or the government, the BIPP aims to provide a voice for the photographic industries’ individual human counterparts in the face of the wider world. We act for photographers and allied individuals and will always strive to achieve a positive movement in any space.
Grow our members
Not in number. Instead we aim to grow our members in their own skill and confidence, commercial viability and prestige. Doing so generates a positive feedback loop for the entire industry in the face of the wider world. More proficient photographers reframe the current trend of poor technical skill in the industry and gives clients a better alternative, one that delivers exceptional results.
Protect our members
Our membership includes legal support, insurance advice and a community of support to always protect the best interests of our membership and their businesses as and when it is required.
